Sonny Gray endured the first bad outing of his promising career Sunday and the A's lost Gold Glove right fielder Josh Reddick to a recurring wrist injury in a 10-3 loss to the Orioles.

"It just wasn't our day and it started with me unfortunately" said Gray who'd allowed no more than two earned runs in each of his first three starts but gave up six Sunday.

Gray wasn't hit hard but the Orioles did a good job of situational hitting getting several soft singles with runners in scoring position and three sacrifice flies. "I thought I made some good pitches" Gray said. 'They got some dinks and dunks here and there and it just kind of escalated."

Reddick felt discomfort in his right wrist on a 2-0 swing in the sixth. He said the pain is back on the outer half of his wrist which is what gave him trouble early in the season. He said he won't try to play through an injury that hampers his performance again and estimated he has a 50-50 chance of going on the disabled list. Manager Bob Melvin said the team will have to see how Reddick feels Monday.
