YOHAN Cabaye’s Newcastle United future is in the balance – after he refused to play for the club.

The midfielder was not involved in the goalless draw against West Ham United at St James’s Park this afternoon.

Cabaye also didn’t feature in the club’s season opener against Manchester City on Monday night.

After that game United manager Alan Pardew said Cabaye’s “head had been turned” by a bid from Arsenal which was made public.

The offer understood to be around £10m was turned down by Newcastle.

Arsenal are yet to improve their bid while reports in France suggest Paris Saint-Germain have cooled their interest in the 27-year-old.
