Arkansas quarterback Austin Allen is not expected to be ready to play Saturday against Auburn, coach Bret Bielema said Monday.

However, he has not officially been ruled out yet. Allen missed the Razorbacks’ loss at Alabama last Saturday with a right shoulder injury.

“With where he’s at right now, I still say we’re a couple weeks away,” Bielema said. “But Austin is a guy that I think can probably surprise a lot of people. If he can go, he can do things, then that’s positive for us.”

Bielema added Allen likely would have to fully practice by Thursday to be able to play. The decision was not made until last Thursday he would not be able to play against the Crimson Tide.
