Arkansas guard Jaylen Barford announced Tuesday he will return to the basketball program for his senior season.

Barford made the announcement in a letter titled “One More Year” released through Arkansas’ official website. He declared for the NBA draft last month, but did not sign with an agent.

The Jackson, Tenn., native averaged 12.8 points while shooting 44 percent from the field last season. He signed with Arkansas’ 2016 class as the No. 1 junior college recruit in the country.

“As I went through this process, I knew I wanted one more year to wear that Razorback jersey and go to battle with my teammates,” Barford wrote.

Fellow guard Daryl Macon also declared for the draft last month and has not specified whether he intends to return. He has until May 24 to decide.
