More locations problems led to another shaky outing for the Diamondbacks' J.J. Putz on Tuesday night, but manager Kirk Gibson didn't hesitate to reaffirm the right-hander's status on his club.

"He's our closer," Gibson said. "Nothing has changed. Simple as that."

Putz has three blown saves in 12 opportunities -- he blew four saves all last season -- and has struggled in other outings. He gave up four runs in a non-save situation against the Cardinals two weeks ago.
