"NFL coaches typically don't plan to open the season with two cornerbacks who are starting for the first time. But that's the way the preseason has played out for the Cardinals, so Ken Whisenhunt isn't fretting.
Patrick Peterson, a rookie, and A.J. Jefferson, in his second year, don't seem worried, so why should their coach?
"I haven't figured it out yet," Whisenhunt said, "because if you got old guys, you get criticized for having old guys. And if you got young guys, you get criticized for having young guys.
"I don't know, maybe we can go out and spend enough money under the cap to get the top player at every position and then we would be OK.""
