Anthony Peluso isn’t known in Winnipeg Jets circles as an offensive powerhouse. He recently was suspended for boarding Alex Goligoski and is a noted fighter. The most points he’s scored in any league, ever is 22. That was back in 2008-09 while plying for the Brampton Battalion of the OHL.

All things considered, Peluso is your prototypical NHL fourth-line plugger. Which is why it was shocking when he rifled off a 103.9 mile-per-hour slap shot during Winnipeg’s annual skill competition on Wednesday. Dustin Byfuglien was the reigning champion, and any wise better was placing their money on him to retain that title.

Not with Peluso in the house, apparently.
