Vernon Wells took the same approach to his swing in the off-season as former Angels general manager Tony Reagins probably took to the deal that brought Wells from Toronto to Anaheim the previous off-season.

"I needed a full do-over," Wells said.

Wells has that chance. The 33-year-old left fielder will begin full-squad workouts Monday with a revamped swing and renewed confidence, predicting he'd rebound from a career-worst year with "one of the best years I've ever had."
