Jered Weaver will come off the disabled list to start Wednesday night against the San Francisco Giants, Angels Manager Mike Scioscia said Monday, a move that could lead to the demotion of Garrett Richards to triple-A Salt Lake despite Richards' 2-0 record and 0.86 earned-run average in four games.

If that happens, Weaver will feel Richards' pain.

Weaver was 4-0 with a 1.37 ERA in his first four big league starts in late May and early June of 2006, but when Bartolo Colon, the 2005 Cy Young Award winner, came off the DL in mid-June, Weaver was sent back to Salt Lake.
