"Now that the most unsettled situation evidently has an answer, it seems — barring injury, or change of mind — Jazz coach Jerry Sloan has settled on a starting lineup.
Sloan on Monday indicated he likes Andrei Kirilenko opening at small forward and swingman C.J. Miles coming off the bench.
Both, Sloan said, have "played pretty well" so far this preseason.
"I'll probably stay that way for a while, see how it goes," he said.
That means Kirilenko would join point guard Deron Williams, shooting guard Raja Bell, power forward Paul Millsap and center Al Jefferson at the start of Utah's Oct. 27 NBA regular season opener at Denver.
Kirilenko opened 35 of his 58 games last season, mostly came off the bench in 2008-09 and was a full-time starter for five seasons prior to that.
Miles was a full-time starter in 2008-09, but — after missing the first 17 games due to thumb surgery — he played a reserve role in 35 of 63 games last season."
