"There are only a few things that can make the uber-mellow Andre Miller blanch.

He'll eat anything, except Chinese food. And he will watch anything, except scary movies.

"Scary movies are boring," Miller says.

Ranking right up there with kung pao chicken and "Nightmare on Elm Street" on the crinkle-his-nose list is talk of his history in the NBA playoffs.

Despite being an accomplished 11-year veteran with five previous trips to the playoffs, Miller has never been part of a team that has advanced.

"It's not lack of success," Miller says, dismissively. "I just haven't won a series."

But once again, Miller finds himself in prime position to erase that blemish from his resume. Miller carried the Trail Blazers to a 105-100 victory over Phoenix on Sunday in Game 1 with a point-guard performance that was equal parts savvy, grit and guile."
