Pistons coach Lawrence Frank said the word "performance" nine times in the first 3 minutes of media availability at Friday's shoot-around at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The topic was Andre Drummond, and the persistent question was why the rookie from UConn had not been paired with Greg Monroe through the first five games.

Frank didn't say it, but you get the sense he will put Drummond in that position when he feels he has earned it -- especially since he likes the production from power forwards Jonas Jerebko and Jason Maxiell.

After Drummond's 22-point, eight-rebound performance in Friday night's 105-94 loss to the Thunder on Friday night, it's apparent Drummond is on his way to earning time alongside Monroe.
