Red seems to bring out the best in the Senators — both the jersey colour and when they're red-faced with embarrassment.

As a team, they have responded well to shellackings like the 6-2 browbeating delivered by the Montreal Canadiens Tuesday. In the six games the Senators have played following losses by three goals or more, they are 5-1.

And responding best to a poor performance has been No. 1 goalie Craig Anderson, who is 3-0 after being pulled the previous outing.

Anderson, however, is no sure bet to start Friday at Scotiabank Place against the Calgary Flames, when the home squad will be draped in the red threads they've worn to an 8-4-1 record this season and a 14-6-2-1 mark all-time.
