"Jason Spezza was hit with an Avalanche of criticism from a Colorado colour analyst.
Former Avs winger Mark Rycroft, who suited up for 66 games with the Avalanche in 2006-07, fired shots in Spezza's direction on Altitude Sports, the club's broadcaster.
"He's a wimp. He doesn't want to go in the corners. He wants easy points," Rycroft was quoted as saying on the Denver Post's website late Thursday in advance of the Senators-Avalanche tilt Friday. "
