Jason Spezza will be the centre of attention Sunday night.

Trailing 2-0 in their Round 2 series to the Pittsburgh Penguins as it shifts to Scotiabank Place for Game 3, the Senators are buoyed by the return of their top centre to the lineup for the first time since Jan. 27th.

Gone nearly four months as a result of back surgery, Spezza skated on a line with Cory Conacher and Milan Michalek during Sunday’s skate. That’s where he’ll start as the Senators try desperately to get back in this series.

“I’m going to try to play well and help as much as I can,” said Spezza.

The Senators are happy to get Spezza back.
