Daniel Alfredsson felt like a teen idol.

As the first player on the ice Wednesday, the Senators captain was welcomed by 2,300 screaming school kids from Prescott-Russell at the Canadian International Hockey Academy Arena in Rockland.

"I saw Justin Bieber on the Today Show and I was the first one on the ice and I almost felt the same way," said the Senators captain. "It's pretty nice to have cheering like that at practice. It makes you try a little bit harder."
