"Drew Rosenhaus, the agent for Terrell Owens, said the free-agent wide receiver's Tuesday media workout stemmed in part because the Tennessee Titans wouldn't commit to a private session.

Rosenhaus said he had spoken to the Titans about Owens, but when Tennessee balked at seeing the 37-year-old receiver, his team believed a media workout at a suburban Los Angeles high school was appropriate to showcase his readiness.

No NFL team sent a representative to observe Owens, whose surgically repaired knee looked fine during the hour-long workout. Owens is recovering from anterior cruciate ligament surgery on his left knee, and Tuesday's workout was his first in public since his June operation."
