Agent: No current overseas offers for Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, Chris Bosh

"If Miami Heat players head overseas during the lockout, the plans apparently will come on delayed and short notice.

Agent Henry Thomas, whose agency represents the Heat's Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh, Tuesday told the Sun Sentinel none of those three clients have received overseas offers and that none are actively seeking such opportunities.

"If there are opportunities presented to my guys," Thomas said, "it's my responsibility then to look at those opportunities and see what they are."

While Wade on Tuesday became the latest Heat player to address the option, he, like James said a day earlier, apparently views the choice as a matter of last resort amid the NBA lockout.

Complicating the issue is a standing order by FIBA, the international basketball ruling body, that players with remaining time on their contracts must return to the NBA upon the settlement of the lockout.

An added twist came Tuesday, with SI.com quoting a leading European basketball official as being against the idea of taking on NBA players for anything short of an entire season.

"Our clubs need to have stable rosters," Jordi Bertomeu, president and CEO of the Euroleague, told the Sports Illustrated website. "They need to know how long they will be able to employ the player. No team will sign a player for only two or three months, or for an uncertain period of time."

For his part, James told assembled media at his charity bicycle ride Monday in his native Akron, Ohio, that he would await greater clarity on the potential length of the lockout before considering alternate plans. James said he continued to hold out hope of a full, 82-game NBA regular-season schedule."
