Donald Driver isn't the most popular player in recent Packers history just for catching passes.
The beloved and newly retired wide receiver had one more surprise Wednesday on his way out of Green Bay. Just hours after the franchise's all-time leading receiver gave his tearful goodbye in front of 1,500 fans inside the Lambeau Field Atrium, he stopped by the home of a 78-year-old Packers fan, Angie LeRoy.
LeRoy had been featured on a story on FOX-11 in Green Bay on Tuesday, showcasing the front door decorations that she made in honor of Driver's retirement. It was during that interview – which also led to LeRoy getting a ticket to Driver's ceremony -- that LeRoy said, "I just hope someday I can get a big hug from him."
After Driver saw the story, he made LeRoy's wish come true.
Driver rang LeRoy's doorbell Wednesday.
"Oh, my God," LeRoy said as she realized who was standing across from her. "Oh, my God! Oh, my God! Come in."
After ceremony, Driver made surprise stop
