Less than an hour after he left the field, Adrien Robinson was still bothered by a short pass near the Pittsburgh sideline that he dropped.

The quick route, on a second-and-8 with 10:25 to go in the third, allowed him some room to run. Had be broken a tackle, he could have picked up a first down.

Instead, the Giants botched a swing pass in their backfield and watched as the Steelers took the fumble back 28 yards for a touchdown. Though that wasn't Robinson's fault, he still wished he could have his first target back.

"I didn't get my eyes around quick enough," he said. "When I turned the ball was right there. I should have caught it. I should have caught it. It was a good ball."

Through two preseason games, Robinson has one catch for nine yards and two total targets. He was listed last in the team's first "unofficial" tight end depth chart released a few weeks ago and did not appear in the first half of Sunday's preseason game against the Steelers. Most of those reps went to Larry Donnell.
