American League home run leader Adam Dunn was scratched from the Chicago White Sox's lineup Saturday night because of a right oblique strain.

"My luck," Dunn lamented.

Dunn, who leads the league with 38 home runs, said he initially suffered the ailment on a checked swing on his first at-bat Wednesday night in Baltimore, adding it got progressively worse. This is the first time Dunn has suffered this kind of injury.

"I'm expecting to be back (Sunday)," Dunn said. "I'm staying back with (trainer) Herm Schneider and try to knock out as much as we can. We got an 8 o'clock start, so hopefully that extra hour we can do something."
