"Adalius Thomas arrived at Super Bowl XLIV's Radio Row yesterday, intent on hawking his marinade, A.D. Licious.
The linebacker may also have hastened his already likely exit from the Patriots.
Speaking on the "Felger and Massarotti Show" on 98.5 The Sports Hub, Thomas revealed that his rift with coach Bill Belichick began following the narrow-escape win against the Bills in Week 1. Belichick was apparently upset with Thomas' effort that saw him record five tackles and a sack.
"It was the play of the Buffalo game, whether or not it was sufficient," Thomas told the show. "I really didn't understand it. It was the first game back, the way some stuff went down. I knew at that point, it was bigger than what was on the surface."
Asked if he's coming back, Thomas said, "It doesn't seem like it."
The assumption is that he'll be cut.
It was another episode in a disappointing, trying season for Thomas, who was once the highest-paid free agents in Patriots history. He had just 34 tackles and three sacks, while being benched twice. One benching against the Titans was for his performance, another was for speaking out after Belichick sent him home from a Wednesday practice as part of LateGate."
