Aaron Kampman's return from knee injury remains on hold

"The brace Aaron Kampman wore on his right leg Monday extended beyond just a regular knee brace, going all the way down to his ankle.

It was one of the ways the Jaguars are working to correct a setback Kampman had with his knee the weekend before the Jaguars' season opener. Kampman missed Sunday's 16-14 win over Tennessee and isn't sure of a timetable for his return.

"It really just depends how everything continues to bounce and how I feel," Kampman said. "A lot of it's a feel thing. That's really where it's at.

"I wish I had more certainty myself."

The Jaguars defensive end was limited during training-camp practices and in the preseason to avoid a setback with his knee.

He had ACL replacement surgery in his right knee on Nov. 29. Kampman had the same surgery in his left knee during the fall of 2009 after an ACL tear.

"This one's different," Kampman said. "Every injury, as much as I want to compare it to the other one, they're all different."

Kampman tore his ACL last year in a non-contact drill in practice on Nov. 11 after playing the first eight games of the 2010 season as the Jaguars' starting right end."
