Aaron Hill wasn't about to lie. Of course he knew when he strode to the plate Monday night in the seventh inning that he was just a home run away from hitting for the cycle aganst the Seattle Mariners.
But there was just one problem.
"I don't think I've ever tried to hit a homer before," the Diamondbacks second baseman said.
"You just take a deep breath and try and do what you did the previous at-bats. I was feeling good at the plate. It's just one of those things where you look to see the ball up and you look for something to drive."
