Arsenal star Mesut Ozil insists he still loves the a club amid intense speculation surrounding his future.

The Germany international has just over a year remaining on his current contract and Arsene Wenger admitted last week talks over a new deal would not resume until the summer.

The likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with audacious summer moves for the former Real Madrid playmaker, while a return to Germany and a shock move to Fenerbahce have also been touted.

But the 28-year-old claims he still harbours a deep affection for the north London club and tantalisingly told Gooners to ‘wait and see what happens’.

He told Sportbild: ‘You can not believe everything that is written, I just want to say that I still have a one-year contract and I love to run for this club.
