After his team’s practice Saturday, Sharks center Logan Couture had a little blood oozing out of a gash on his nose.

“I got hit last game,” Couture said. “I don't know. A couple of guys ran into me. I don't know if it was a stick or elbow.”

Couture didn’t seem overly concerned with the injury. Considering what he endured in the first half of the season, it’s easy to understand why.

After returning to the lineup from a fractured right fibula he suffered in October, Couture underwent surgery to repair an arterial bleed in his right thigh Dec. 10.
