According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, the 49ers are open to trading some of their veteran players ahead of the upcoming trade deadline. However, general managers around the league are skeptical about whether any deals will be completed.
La Canfora says that executives from three teams who have engaged in trade talks with 49ers all indicated that dealing with the team can be difficult, as San Francisco is over-valuing their players and “naïve to what it takes to move salary in the NFL.”
The executives who spoke to La Canfora reportedly had nearly the same exact complaints about dealing with the 49ers and the difficulties of consummating trades with them.
