Quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a perfect week at the NFL owners meetings.

There is no argument among 49ers CEO Jed York, general manager Trent Baalke and coach Jim Harbaugh that getting Kaepernick signed to a long-term extension is a top priority.

Moreover, York and Harbaugh went so far as to say that Kaepernick deserves to be paid like one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Currently, there are seven quarterbacks who average at least $18 million annually.

By the time the 49ers report to training camp, there might be an eighth.

“I think we all know what Colin’s earning potential is,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “We all pretty much know what the numbers are.”

Harbaugh’s comments came one day after York said the 49ers are prepared to deliver a blockbuster deal.
