Western Carolina football player Cam Brown passed away Saturday. He was inflicted with osteosarcoma, a rare and aggressive bone cancer.

Brown, 18, was a wrestling state runner-up at 195 pounds at Florida High School in Florida, became a member of the Western Carolina football team after two very good years to finish out high school.

Brown was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in May and had to have his leg amputated in June. His cancer eventually spread aggressively to his hips, spine and upper back and had begun attacking muscle.
