Notre Dame will be without wide receiver Torii Hunter Jr. for four to six weeks because of a Grade 3 groin tear, coach Brian Kelly said Saturday.

The son of Detroit Tigers outfielder Torii Hunter, Hunter entered the Irish's first on-campus practice walking with one crutch.

The 6-foot, 190-pounder redshirted last season as he recovered from a leg injury suffered during his prep career. Hunter had a PRP injection this past week and will have two more in the coming weeks.
