San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has signed forward Micheal Haley to a one-year contract.

"Micheal plays with an edge and competes hard on every shift," said Wilson. "His hard-working, physical game brings a different dimension that teams have to account for, and he is a great teammate that will mesh well with our organization."

Haley, 28, collected 18 points (seven goals, 11 assists) and 131 penalty minutes in 53 games with Hartford of the American Hockey League (AHL) in 2013-14. The alternate captain finished ranked second on the Wolf Pack in penalty minutes.
