Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is arguably the most productive cornerback available in free agency this offseason.

The Denver Broncos understand that and the team met with the sixth-year cornerback'€™s reps in Indianapolis last week at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to a league source.

Rodgers-Cromartie, who has played for three teams in six seasons, is valued as the team'€™s top priority, though other prominent players such as wide receiver Eric Decker and running back Knowshon Moreno are set to hit the market.

While a deal for the veteran cornerback isn't imminent, the sides have agreed to keep in touch in the coming weeks.

During Super Bowl week, Rodgers-Cromartie backed off his comments after saying that he would ponder retirement if the Broncos beat the Seahawks.
