Devonta Freeman is out of Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with a concussion, but one NFC South rival seems to think the Falcons running back actually suffered the issue last week.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis tweeted that he believes Freeman was injured during their game last week in Charlotte.

“The Hitchens hit didn’t knock Freeman out,” Davis tweeted. “He was concussed in our game last week and should’ve been taken out. Scary site [sic] but praying he’s good though.”

It’s impossible to judge the truth or falsity of Thomas’ claim, but Freeman was taken from action during the fourth quarter of Atlanta’s eventual 20-17 loss to Carolina after taking a hit from safety Kurt Coleman.
