Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson will forgo his senior season and declare for the 2018 NFL Draft, he announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-1, 192-pound defensive back from Corinth, Texas, catapulted himself into the NFL draft conversation with an excellent 2017. Iowa was the only Power 5 school to offer Jackson as he played in high school in one of the most football-crazy states in the country, and was rewarded with a standout 2017 season that saw him become one of the best defensive backs in college football.

Jackson had a fun role to play in Iowa’s giant upset of Ohio State. With the Hawkeyes securely holding the lead, Jackson leaped and made an Odell Beckham-esque one-handed interception.
