Fordham Rams talent Joseph Chartouny will return to the program next season for his junior season, a source told FanRag Sports on Friday. He had originally entered the 2017 NBA Draft but did so without hiring an agent. By not signing any professional representation, he retained his eligibility.

Chartouny had a solid second collegiate season in 2016-17. By the time it was completed, he averaged 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. A 2016-17 preseason All-Atlantic 10 (third team) selection, he also set the school single-season steals record with 94 last year. The 6-foot-3 guard shot 42 percent from the floor and 38 percent from beyond the 3-point line.

As a freshman, Chartouny burst onto the scene and averaged 11.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists per outing. However, he only shot 37 percent from the floor and 32 percent from 3-point land in his first collegiate season.
