It's an unfair question for a player who has been wearing the uniform for just a couple of weeks. But when you're David Price, folks want to know what your legacy is going to be even before a single pitch is thrown.

"I hope so," Price said when asked if he thought Boston was going to be his last major league stop. "Once I complete these seven years I'll be five days short of 14 years, and that's a very good career. We'll have to see how I feel after that seventh year and make a decision then."

That led to another question, one that carries more weight than historical standing.

Some view this seven-year contract Price speaks about as really a three-year deal, because that's when he has the chance to opt out of the full $217 million payday. Thoughts?
