After becoming an American hero with his 16-save performance versus Belgium, Tim Howard returned to the continental US, where he was greeted by TMZ and a some passionate footie fans.

Howard did the newly-minted celebrity thing - signed some autographs, took some pictures but one fan wanted a hug and the United States keeper wasn't having it.

I’m pretty sure an adult invading a strangers personal space and going in for a hug is always bad form - unless they have a sign that says free hugs or something.  Does anyone out there disagree with Howard’s response?
