Cheyenne Woods was born in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the daughter of Tiger Woods' half-brother. Her grandfather Earl Woods aka. Tiger's father was her first coach.

She played for the Xavier College Preparatory golf team and won back-to-back Arizona 5A State Championships in 2006 and 2007. She graduated from Wake Forest University in 2012 where she played golf for the Demon Deacons. While there she won All-American honors, finished with the lowest scoring average in school history, and won the 2011 ACC Championship.

In 2012, she turned professional after graduating and qualified for the 2012 U.S. Women's Open by finishing as co-medalist at her qualifier and made her professional debut at the 2012 LPGA Championship. She had her first professional win on the SunCoast Ladies Series in late August 2012.

Woods has two career wins, but has missed the cut in her two previous U.S. Open appearances in 2012 and 2014 and has missed the cut in nine of the 13 events she has played this year.

Tiger’s niece has been outspoken about her displeasure at how she’s always compared to her famous uncle, she is fair, as he is one of the most dominant athletes of the century. That’s an impossible standard.
