Erin Andrews is an American sportscaster and television personality. The self described tomboy started her broadcasting career began in 2000, after graduating from the University of Florida. Her first job was as a freelance reporter for Fox Sports Florida. The talented and hardworking reporter has been rising up the sports media landscape ever since.
In 2001, she served as a Tampa Bay Lightning reporter for the Sunshine Network, in 2002, she jumped over to Turner and covered the Braves, Thrashers, and Hawks for Turner South as a studio host and reporter. Then in 2004, she received her big break when she started at ESPN, beginning as a hockey reporter and quickly rose to become one of the network’s star personalities.
A switch to Fox Sports in 2012 allowed Andrews to add to her resume and since switching networks she has become Fox’s lead field reporter for most major sporting events, including the MLB All-Star Game, World Series, Daytona 500 and sideline duties with Fox’s lead NFL broadcasting crew. In addition to her growing responsibilities with Fox Sports, she became the co-host of Dancing with the Stars in 2014.
She might be the most recognizable female member of the sports media, and deserves every bit of success she has. It goes without saying that she is an absolute stunner, but you don’t get to where she’s at in the highly competitive world of sports media on just your looks. The 5-10 reporter has become a fixture on the talkshow circuit and won Playboys sexiest sportscaster on multiple occasions, as her career grew her appeal crossed over from sports to mainstream culture.
Unfortunately for Andrews, all this success has come with some negative side-effects. In 2008, a creepy douchebag filmed Andrews through peepholes at various hotels and released the footage online. There were lawsuits and in 2016 she was awarded $55 million in a civil suit.
On the personal side of things today was a great day for Erin Andrews as it appears she and her longtime beau NHL free-agent and Stanley Cup winner Jarret Stoll got engaged. The news came via a Tweet she sent out and the internet was quick to connect the dots.
