Mallory Edens, the 18-year old daughter of Bucks co-owner Wesley Edens, went viral after her appearance at the NBA Draft Lottery on Tuesday night.
To steal a quote from Bill Simmons:
"The Cavs won the lottery and Mallory Edens won the Internet."
Mallory began the night with 249 Twitter followers and as of this moment she sits at over 29,000 followers. I have the sneaking suspicion that her phone may have exploded from all of the Twitter love. "Mallory Edens" was also a worldwide trending topic for most of the evening.
She didn't 100% overshadow the shocking lottery win by the Cleveland Cavaliers, but she certainly took a little bit of attention away from the ping-pong ball upset. Maybe she was an Adam Silver plant to attempt to deflect the fix.
The Cavs are willing to trade Anthony Bennett straight up for Mallory Edens.— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) May 21, 2014
