On Tuesday night in Philadelphia, Tom Wilson of the Washington Capitals charged full-speed from the blue line and slammed Brayden Schenn of the Flyers head first into the boards. Not everyone thought it was a dirty play.

You be the judge, but to me this is the definition of charging. Wilson reminded me of a tiger shark targeting his prey. He was going full-tilt, darting around defenders in order to deliver an opportunistic trucking on Schenn...whose head was the first part of his body to contact the unforgiving boards.

After the game Caps' head coach Adam Oates and GM George McPhee proved that they have no regard for player safety and claimed that the hit was perfectly clean and legal.

Hopefully the NHL sees this hit the same as the rest of the world, and not the same as the two asses in Washington. Wilson deserves at least two games and Oates and McPhee should get fined for their promotion of violent actions.
